Milo, a place beloved and chosen by Franco Battiato as his creative and spiritual home, pays tribute each year to the great artist with initiatives that celebrate his musical, intellectual, and human legacy. Since his passing in 2021, Milo has become the guardian of Battiato’s memory and philosophy, through events that combine music, reflection, and popular participation.
Among the most heartfelt events:
🎶 “Caro amico… ti vengo a cercare” – Tribute Concert
Every year, on August 11th, the Lucio Dalla Theatre hosts a major tribute concert that brings together artists, musicians, and the public in a musical journey through Battiato’s works—and often also those of Lucio Dalla, another artist closely connected to Milo. The event also includes the presentation of the “Caro amico… ti vengo a cercare” Award, created to recognize young talents and individuals who promote the cultural identity of Mount Etna worldwide.
🕊️ Etna Art Fest – No Time No Space
A more recent initiative, born in 2025, offering a multidisciplinary program inspired by Battiato’s spiritual and philosophical vision. Concerts, talks, meditations, performances, and meetings with artists, friends, and intellectuals who share his inner quest transform Milo into a hub of dialogue between art, soul, and territory.
Through these events, Milo not only remembers Franco Battiato, but continues to give voice to his vision—letting that yearning for transcendence, which always defined his art, resonate through the streets of the town.
